Ten years after his death, the void left by Sergio Piazzoli still echoes. A young man from Perugia, with his resourcefulness and boundless love for music, he raised the artistic level of our little Umbria to the highest levels: often ahead of his time, he was the first to bring R.E.M. to Italy, prophetic in launching Vinicio Capossela (a sort of brother), stubborn enough to convince his idol Robert Wyatt to travel to Umbertide or to bring De André back on stage, who was also won over by the enthusiasm of this atypical organiser.
