We have called ‘Stage Typography,’ the choice of interpreting different productions through the combined use of typography and photography. Each representation is identified through a letter (an initial likely taken from the title) or a number, expressively redrawn from the Bodonian typographic style. Each letter becomes a three-dimensional space within which a theatrical action, conveyed through photographic detail, is presented. We refer to details taken from stage photographs, expressive gestures from actors, opera performances, instruments and body postures. Variability in continuity is the line of work that allows to give a strong personality to each message, while maintaining aesthetic consistency.
